Italian Disco

Pizza Box Redesign

restaurant background

Italian Disco is a culinary and musical journey that whisks you back to the dazzling days of the 70s and 80s. This unique establishment offers a delectable fusion of international beer, mouthwatering Italian cuisine, and timeless tunes, creating an experience that’s both nostalgic and modern. The goal of the project was to redesign Italian Disco’s pizza box to fit more into the nostalgic and timeless atmosphere of the restaurant.

the redesign

I took an illustrative approach to my project. As part of my research, I delved into vintage and traditional pizza box designs. What stood out to me was the prevalence of storefront illustrations on these boxes. I decided to take this idea a step further by incorporating a storefront illustration in a style reminiscent of how the sister restaurant next door, Tagliata, illustrated their menu. This approach allowed me to infuse a touch of creativity into the traditional pizza box design, creating a unique and visually appealing concept. I also included a Fiat car into the rendering, since the brand had used a Fiat in their sub-logo, creating a cohesive and visually engaging design concept.

The creative Process

Let's Start Thinking & Sketching

In the project’s initial stage, I visited the restaurant’s site and captured a range of photographs showcasing the front and facade. These images will served as inspiration for designing the front of the box.
